About Mary

Mary McEvilly Hernández, MCC, NBC-HWC, is Gaja Collective’s Director of Coaching and the lead educator of the Gaja Mind-Body-Spirit Coach Certification. A Master Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, a registered ICF mentor coach, and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, she has been training, mentoring, and certifying coaches for more than a decade.

Mary came to coaching after nearly thirty years in broadcast media, where she rose from an entry-level position to vice president and general manager roles overseeing radio stations in Chicago, Phoenix, and the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2011 she founded Imagine Life Design Coaching, and she has since served as an instructor and mentor for Wayfinder Coach Training with Martha Beck, led mentor coaching for a leading mind-body wellness organization’s coaching certification, and contributed to HuffPost.

Her coaching is heart-centered and practical. Beyond training coaches, Mary works with executives and business leaders, with people living with chronic pain through neuroscience-based approaches, and with blended families and parents of children with special needs. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

At Gaja, Mary leads the live seminars and mentorship that run through the 21-week Coach Certification, co-hosts the free coaching workshop Where Purpose Becomes a Profession, and teaches cognitive behavioral coaching in Soul Intentions. Originally from Chicago, she lives between Arizona and Mexico.
